Indie Company Haul & Review: Ella Rose Minerals

Hey girlies! Today I am doing a review of Ella Rose Minerals, an indie mineral makeup company I found on Etsy.  I am sure you guys are familiar with the name, because I have used and loved their foundation for over a year now! I tried sooo many different foundations, both "popular" name and indie, and I just fell in love with the formula, color match, and coverage of Ella Rose. I had also tried a few eyeshadow shades in the past, but not many. When I went to reorder my foundation, I asked if they would like a review on some eyeshadows and they sent me seven samples to try!! YAY!

The samples came in clamshell containers that are bigger than the normal flat clamshells. I was so happy about this! They each have a sticker with the color name, ingredients, amount of product, and whether or not the color is lip safe. I love that I have all the info right there! So convenient and well packaged, especially for a sample! They are also very generous amounts.. there is enough in each container for several applications!!

Also pictured above is the foundation I use (which has 2% salicylic acid and is GREAT at keeping me breakout free!!) and a new glow powder I ordered. (I will probably do a review on that later.)

Like I said, the foundation is amazing. It provides great coverage which can be light or heavy depending on how you apply it. There is a huge range of colors including cool, neutral, and warm tones. The formula also feels great on my face, and my skin has never been healthier! They also have a foundation without salicylic acid, which I have also used and love!

Now on to the eyeshadow swatches... (all descriptions are my own)

Twelfth Night - A deep blue with black base - luminous but not sparkly
Much Ado About Blue - Beautiful blue leaning almost towards aqua
Fresh - Bright vibrant green
Shamrock - Light Chartreuse green with yellow undertones
Dandelion - Bright spring yellow
Miranda - Fresh juicy orange - reminds me of a tangerine :)
Cherry Blossom - Pretty soft pink with light shimmer

All shadows were swatched over Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy.

My thoughts? I love Twelfth Night and Much Ado About Blue! Fresh is also gorgeous. These three had the best color payoff and overall appeal to me. The others are super pretty as well and would be great for softer looks.

Ella Rose has a GREAT range of products and I can't wait to try more shadows, blushes, and bronzers.

Disclaimer: I was sent these eyeshadow samples for review purposes. All opinions and pictures are my own, and if I don't like something, I will tell ya!
